sunshine addition
operable glass walls open the new room to the surrounding coastal forest
reada modest, but innovative addition to a classic queensland beach house. the owners brief was to design an outdoor room protected from the south east winds that roll off the pacific ocean in the summer months.
the new deck space sits under a folding white roof which is a continuation of the existing structure. operable glass walls allow the room to open to the surrounding coastal forest.
perched at the east end of the deck is a glass look out nest that has a built-in daybed and beautiful views to the pacific ocean through the pandanus trees.
