natural rhythm – timber, light and ocean views
Two Beach Houses sits gently within the coastal sand dunes at Sunshine Beach. Natural materials, such as Australian hardwoods, stone, and handcrafted joinery, anchor the home and will weather beautifully over time. A minimal approach keeps spaces calm and uncluttered, allowing the light, breezes, and surrounding landscape to shape everyday living.

The layout is flexible and open. Sliding doors and screens connect indoor and outdoor areas, while offering privacy, shade, and ventilation as needed. Deep eaves, decks, and garden spaces invite outdoor living and provide shelter from the elements.
A timber post-and-beam structure gives the house rhythm and warmth, with exposed rafters and columns framing views of the ocean and coastal landscape. Soft natural light enters through skylights and windows, creating gentle patterns of light and shadow throughout the day.

The design embraces irregular forms and asymmetry, responding naturally to the contours of the site and the shifting character of the coast.
This house is a quiet, thoughtful response to its setting, designed to feel relaxed and deeply connected to the landscape and seasons.
